Our holiday cottages (self catering) are situated at Houndridge farm set in a beautiful rural location three miles from Kelso, Roxburghshire, Scotland, famous for its salmon fishing on the River Tweed and Teviot.
A family farm since 1898, Houndridge has diversified over the years and as well as holiday cottages we have a small Leisure Club with a squash court and fitness suite which guests staying in our holiday cottages can use at local rates.
Houndridge provides the perfect location for your self catering holiday whether it be exploring, relaxing, It is an ideal location to admire the panoramic views of the Cheviot Hills and if you are in luck watch the elusive deer roaming the fields at breakfast time.
The area has plenty to see and do from walks in the countryside, golf , horse riding or fishing or historic houses and gardens. Springwood Park Show Ground holds several events throughout the year including the annual Border Union Agricultural Show in July -see http://www.buas.org/calendar/
Ideally situated for touring the Scottish Borders yet approximately only 30 minutes from the coast and an hour's drive from Edinburgh
There is also a private Leisure club at Houndridge (local prices apply)which has a squash court , small indoor heated swimming pool and a fitness suite.
